- Dori BSince pictures are worth a thousand words, these are the pictures of my boots before and after Park Ridge Shoe Repair rebuilt them, for the 3rd time. These are Crispi hiking boots, and they're about $350 a pair. I love my boots, but I'm extremely hard on them. Since they last rebuilt them I put over a thousand miles on them. I wear them training dogs, and not only walk on rough surfaces, and climb a ton of muddy hills, I also walk in water up to my ankles, and snow past my knees. As you can see, it's been extremely hard on my boots. But once they were finished with them, they looked brand new again. They even replaced the laces for me with Kevlar laces which are fantastic for what I do.
- Angela LI'm fortunate to have found a perfect go-to shoe a few years ago. I rotate between two different pairs depending on the weather. One pair looks pristine, and in the winter-only version was worn looking and stained with the salt that's used to treat sidewalks along with other damaging winter conditions. I was thinking this would be my last year with these incredibly comfortable shoes because they were looking inexcusably ragged. Park Ridge Shoes & Shoe Repair has always done excellent work for me. They've upgraded zippers, crafted customized straps for various bags, repaired plenty of items and extended the life of other shoes. When I handed over my sad-looking, under-loved shoes, I asked if they were even worth cleaning. I was greeted warmly and after they were briefly inspected, I was told it would have been better had I brought them in sooner and assured that they would do their best. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect. This was a rescue mission well beyond anything for whi...
- Missy KI had won an auction for some dr martens boots it was kinda hard to tell by the pictures but it looked like they had some damage on both toes by then it was too late and I was stuck with them. I was quite nervous to receive them only thinking the worst outcome of course. I finally got them and went to park ridge today and talked with Alexis and showed them to her and she said that she could polish them up for me, I was a little disappointed considering that there was actually leather missing from the boots, but when she brought them back, they looked brand new like I had just bought them from the store and the price and time was amazing. Thank you Alexis when I need them done again I look forward to seeing you. Kudos 👏
